📜 Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Sabio Golf (the platform at chezagolf.com and club subdomains). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them.

1. What Sabio Golf is

Sabio Golf is a platform for golf clubs and golf societies to manage tournaments, scoring, membership and payments. Each club operates its own site; the platform is provided by Sabio Golf.

2. Your account

• You provide accurate information (name, email, GHIN number where applicable).
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
• You must be 18 or older.
• You can delete your account at any time from the Member Portal.

3. Acceptable use

• Use the platform honestly: enter your own scores, report your real handicap.
• Do not harass other members, spam, or post offensive content.
• Do not attempt to access other members’ accounts or data.
• Do not scrape or resell data from the platform.

4. Payments

• Membership dues and tournament entry fees are set by your club, not by Sabio Golf.
• Online card payments (when offered) are processed by Stripe; a processing fee may be added.
• Refunds for dues or entry fees are handled by your club’s policy, not Sabio Golf.

5. Intellectual property

The platform, its design and code are owned by Sabio Golf. Your profile content and photos remain yours — you grant the platform a license to display them within your club. Tournament scores and results belong to the club.

6. Disclaimers

• The platform is provided “as is” — we work hard to keep it running but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
• Payout calculations are automated from entered scores; disputes over results should go to your club’s tournament committee.
• GHIN data (handicap indexes) is fetched from the USGA public API; we are not responsible for its accuracy.

7. Limitation of liability

Sabio Golf is not liable for lost wages, tournament winnings, or other damages arising from platform errors, downtime or data loss. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the preceding 12 months (if any).

8. Termination

• You may delete your account at any time.
• Club admins may deactivate or remove members per club policy.
• Sabio Golf may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated through club admins. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
